oklahoma...indian land

well today i was given a tour of Oklahoma City by Tim. he was bound to prove that it isn't so Okie. i had a good time. we went to the art museum and snuck into the Cezanne exhibit that wasn't yet open. we didn't really realize what we were doing until we got inside and noticed nobody was around. we took a quick look at the paintings then snuck out before we got caught. it was so funny. for the record, and for Tim, OKC isn't an okie city after all. i liked the brick district best and how clean it is.

after my OKC tour dad and i went to visit aunt bobbie and uncle jerry. they live out in Purcell. we sat out on the back porch and talked all evening. they have a beautiful paint horse named Joe. he stole my heart. i tried to get him to pose so i could get some photos of him.

i must admit that while i was out there i got this nostalgic feeling. the flat miles of grass, wind-chimes, horses, coyotes yipping at night and dusty cowboy boots made me want to live out here. i guess its the native american in me that wants to be close to the land, live off of it yea know. i was suprised at myself. its hot though...let me tell you.

im now at my aunt wanda's and looking forward to the family reunion saturday.
